And now... Natalee!

Wow! Looks like everyone enjoyed Woodrowe!! How about another one? This one is the new Natalee Accordian Album. I added a few cardstock tags from Angelee Cardstock, tags from the Angelee Soar With it Collection, and Angelee Ribbon. I used Cute Curliques, Go Abroad, Tag Tidbits, Juliette Florals, and Forever Family stamp sets. I sponged all edges prior to assembly with Burnt Umber Palette Ink... this really adds to the albums because it masks the white paper core. I did this with the Woodrowe album, too.

I think I'll be posting a Sydney Circle Album next time, so stay tuned!!

Introducing... Woodrowe

I am totally psyched over these new TAC mini-album kits! The Woodrowe kit makes TWO really nice albums AND there are a few pieces left over to use on a card or two, or to add to a full-size scrapbook page! I did add 3 tags and a few scraps to each album that I made from Willoughby & Reece Cardstock, a few brads/eyelets, and (of course) Willoughby & Reece Ribbon. Aren't they great?!
At Seminar, Mischelle showed us how to use a photo corner as a hinge to create an interactive element... love it!! I took it another step and used one of the pocket elements as a fold-up-and-over page. Fun fun fun. I haven't added photos yet, because I am still debating if I am giving one away as a gift.
Photos #2 & #3 below show a page they showed us at Seminar (right side page)... I put an acetate window in so I can add a photo later. Photos #5 & #6 show the photo corner-as-hinge-thing (right side page)... I added the circle element and the stamped image at home. Photos #9, #10, & #11 show the pocket page that I turned into a flip-over-and-down-thing. What do you think?

Party on...

It just occured to me that I never did share all of the Paper Wings Birthday Party favors! I stamped on a linen napkin, made a napkin ring for it, covered a premade party 'blowout', and made a party hat/ table decoration.
Stamps: Trendy Greetings, Floral Labels, Tag Tidbits, Bold Flourishes
Paper: Rustic Chic, pink & brown Bazzill
Ink: Burnt Umber, Toile Pink, Belle Rose, Cote d'Azure, & Water Lily Green Palette inks
Bling: misc. ribbon & flower, aged copper eyelets
Misc.: linen napkin & party blowout
I sent these on to a fellow demo, Kim Sears, for participating in the Paper Wings Online Birthday Party. For further details on how to make any of these items, please comment or email me!

August Stamping Day at my house!!!

Hey, everyone! If you are in the Gardner area, and would like participate, I’m going to try to schedule a stamping day at my house in August. Here’s the deal: I always have problems coming up with ideas on how to use all of those scraps I keep hoarding! So, in order to rid myself of these, and gather inspiration from all of you, I would like to propose a fun, no cost, event! I’m going to have everyone please bring: their own adhesive, tools, card bases and misc. white/cream (whatever!) cardstock for stamping images, and black ink, and then everyone can use my any of my inks, stamps, and most importantly… my scrap paper/cardstock! This will get rid of my scraps, and everyone can create however many cards they want, and it will be strictly a STAMPING FOR FUN DAY! If you would like to bring your own scraps to add to the pile, then by all means do so!! The goal is to ONLY use ‘new’ cardstock for the card base and possibly stamped images… any additional paper or cardstock for accenting, matting, etc. MUST be from scraps!! Sound like fun? I MIGHT even hold a drawing for a new/uncut stamp set from my stash… hmmm… I’ll have to think of some ‘contests’ or stipulations in order for you to get additional chances put in the hat…

I would like to make this an all day event. It would be great to start around 10am, have everyone bring a side dish and/or snack to share, and wrap it all up around, what, 6 or 7pm? What do you guys think? I would like your input on the date.

Dates that are open right now: August 16, 17, 23, and 24 (Saturdays & Sundays). The date with the most votes, wins!! Please let me know via email by August 1st what date you would prefer. I will tally votes and send out an email confirming the exact date on the 2nd or 3rd.

I want to be a kept woman...

No, really. I must be in the 5th ring of hell right now... although, as my friend Cindy would say, it's more like I've actually dropped through the trap door. Evil boss is still, well, the evil boss. I'm sick of working on this retail shell & tenant build-out job... I really prefer the residential side of things. It's so much more personal, and people tend to not get their panties in a twist over little things. E.B.'s job has forced me to put several projects on the back burner, so I will probably never be able to catch up.

So, on to the fun stuff, and (hopefully) the reason you visit this blog! How about my 'Wanna Get Lucky' card?!

Supplies:
1. Trendy Greetings (T-2144) [sentiment]
2. Love Doodles (T-2709) [heart image]
3. Curls & Swirls (T-2773) [flourish]
4. Ecclectic Alphabet (retired)
5. Flora-2 DCWV or Ivy Bazzill card base
6. Jubilee or Heidi Bazzill (lavender/purple)
7. White UltraSmooth cardstock
8. JardinMoss, & Violette Palette pads
9.
Lavender Stickles
10. two different violet ribbons (16”-18”)
11. HydraSponge

12. 1/2” circle punch (or a ticket corner punch)

How about a two-fer? Here's my 'Peeking Bunny' card:
Supplies:
1. More Season Skinnies (T-2334) [pumpkin for inside ears]
2. Fanciful Flowers (T-2283) [small floral image for nose]
3. Blossom Builders (T-2321) [solid circle image for eyes]
4. Frutti Fusion paper (V-929)
5. White UltraSmooth cardstock
6.
Toile Pink, Iris & Noir Palette pads
7. Pink Stickles
8. Black Diamond Stickles

9. Black Scrapper’sFloss
10. violet ribbon (12” plus 3 more scrap lengths)
11. HydraSponge
12. Coluzzle Nested Circle

What do you think? Are y'all bored with the 'out of season' stuff? I really want to get to my stamp room... soon!

Art Unleashed... a good cause

I'm donating this great little chipboard coaster book for Art Unleashed, which is an auction to raise money for the local Humane Society. No TAC products, but I had to share anyway!!! I hope this fetches a great bid... and I know the owner will love it! I thought about my babies while making this, as if I was making it for myself... I think this lends itself to being a nice piece of work.

So, if you're in the Kansas City Area, Friday, August 22, 2008, and would like to attend this benefit from 7–10 p.m., it will be held at The Uptown Theater, 3700 Broadway Street, in KCMO. Visit their website HERE for ticket information.

Lookie at what I got [singing & skipping] ...

OMG OMG OMG!!! Look at all of this yumminess! My new best friend, PAPERLICIOUS, sent me this!! Paperlicious (Joan Bardee) was giving away a little blog candy not too long ago, and I WON... yes, me, who never wins anything! There is a ton of ribbon, here... yard-after-yard. This, my friends, was a wonderful pick-me-up at the end of a very long, cruddy day. THANKS, JOAN!!! I'm not going to go to sleep tonight until I use some of this loveliness on something!!
Update: I just finished a couple of cards and will post photos tomorrow when there is better light to photograph them... thanks for the inspiration, Joan!

The Love Pocket...

Here's a great project that I did for my Hostess Club back in November. I made up all of my left-over kits and these sold really well at a Christmas craft fair. It went over so well, that I modified it from a Christmas theme, to a Love theme for a Winger Design Team project in January. The title for this little lovely? The Love Pocket. Sounds a little, ummmm, different?! Anyway, the premise behind this project is Five Things I Love About You.

Supplies:

1. Sweet Sayings (T-2221)
2. Running Stitches (T-2610) [straight stitch]
3. Spring Dream (TC-2688) [small flourish]
4. Love Doodles (T-2709)
5. Mini Occasions (TA-2754) [heart image]
6. Happy Celebration (TB-2728) [heart image]
7. Petunia Bazzill (8-1/2”x5-1/2”)
8. Sweetheart or Juneberry Bazzill (3 strips of 1-1/2”x4-1/4”)
9. black cardstock (2 strips of 1-1/2”x4-1/4”)
10. white Ultrasmooth (5 strips of 1-1/4”x4” and enough for 5 round tabs)
11. Uptown Girl paper (4”x4”)
12. Noir, Bordeaux, & Claret Palette pads
13. pink or black ribbon (18” plus 4” scrap)
14. silver eyelets (2 @ 3/16”)
15. White Floral & White Bitty Blossom (1 each)
16. Bubblegum Button (large polka dot one)
17. 2-1/2” circle punch, Round Tab punch, Crop-O-Dile, bone folder, sponge

The Christmas themed one had tags created from the Ornamental Snowflakes, Snowy Swirls & Be stamp sets that read: be festive, be extraordinary, be jolly, be joyful, be enchanted. Cute, huh?
What do you think?
