Not-so-Emo Teens card class in June!

June 16th at The Scrapbook Page, I'll be teaching another Copic class... this one is perfect for those tweens & teens in your life :)  We'll be doing a total of three cards... here's the first:

"Mwah Betty"

Don't you just LOVE her green hair?!  And those huge eyes!

Sorry I can't give you all the deets for this one... but if you come to class I will ;)  Just call and sign up over the phone at The Page... see you there!

One more Mythical Creature feature...

I thought she deserved to have a post all her own :)  This is the third card we'll be doing in Thursday's class.  L.O.V.E. her!

This image is Jeweled from Sweet Pea Stamps:

Isn't she lovely?   I ran out of time to foof up the background of the image, but the white sure sets it off, right?

I decided to give her a belly button :)  I thought it worked out.  Her tail was sooooooo much fun to color & try to get to look dimensional.  And I think her skin coloring worked beautifully.

I used Basic Grey's Jordan from the Olivia line, and Mellow Birch... two VERY different papers that paired perfectly for this image!  Blinginess of note:  webbed trim, sheer ribbon, pearls & glitter pen accents.

I'm entering this little lovely in the
In A Sweet Pea Dream - Bling it Up challenge,
and the Basic Grey - Mix & Match challenge.

Upcoming class at The Scrapbook Page...

Mythical Creatures.

Sounds fun, right?  I'm pretty excited about it... I just love teaching :)  And we'll be using some Sweet Pea Stamps... fantastic fantasy art style rubber stamps.  LOVE them.  The class is sold out, but there is always a chance that someone will cancel ;)  It's Thursday the 19th at 6:30pm at The Scrapbook Page.  Wanna see what we'll be doing?  Check it:

First up, this cute little dragon baby.  Adorable, right?  I know!  LOVE how the egg turned out!  I saw this paper and knew I had to use it with this image... kinda looks like large scales AND the dragon egg shape matches them perfectly :)

This is the Sugar & Spice Dragon from SPS.  I just can't get over how cute she is... not the coloring, just the image alone :)

Next up, this sadly sweet steampunk fairy:

LOVE how she turned out.  I decided to make the metal pink... I mean she IS a fairy after all :)

Seriously loving her armor... especially how it fades into her chest... pretty cool me thinks.  I am not happy with her hair... I should have added a more defined part line or something.

This is one of the two images in the Sheet 3 Plate 104 steampunk faires from Sweet Pea Stamps.  I can't really give you any more info about these cards unless you attend my class... sorry  >:)

Don't you wanna come to my class?!!  Just wait until you see my next post for the final card ;)  The store has already placed a second order for these images and we haven't even had the class yet!!

I'm also entering both of these into the Bling it Up challenge at the In a Sweet Pea Dream blog.  Glitter, ribbon, beads & rhinestones... pretty blingy, no?

Happy Birthday to my WOSFF, Laurie Willison!

This is definitely a day to celebrate!  And we're doing it in style, with a birthday blog hop :)

What is a WOSFF, you ask?  It stands for web-o-sphere friend forever, of course :)  In the short time that we've known each other, I have grown to love her as a TRUE friend.  She is THE sweetest person, with a big HEART, and one of the MOST genuine people I've ever met.  She's a bit of a country girl (yikes!) and one of the LEAST creepy people I know
(creepy in that Halloweenie-horror-movie-OMG-what-was-that kind of way)
Why do you talk to me, Laurie????  ;)

Our papercrafting styles are very different.  Every time I try the clean-and-simple look, it just doesn't work... Laurie has it down to a "t"!!  CAS, yet detailed all at the same time... me so jealous   >:)

So even though I don't pull it off as well as you, I decided to give the CAS another try... just for you :)
