Hi ho, hi ho... it's off to work I go...

Well, the Evil Boss has struck again, and I have to go in and work on a holiday weekend Sunday. I also had to work on Friday even though all of our consultants were gone until Monday. Oh well, I AM thankful to have a job, I was just really enjoying working only three days a week :) Before I run off to the office, I thought I'd share a couple more submissions with you.

The first one uses sketch #1 from the new catalogue. I used Hello Baby & Running Stitches stamp sets, Lilly Anna paper & cardstock, a couple of paper posies, cloud scissors, and Prismacolors w/ mineral oil. This is still my favorite baby stamp... so cute!

The second one uses sketch #5. I used With Sympathy and Just Dream stamp sets, along with Amberley Grace paper, cardstock, & ribbon. I threw a little Angelee ribbon in for good measure :) It's pretty plain, but I think it would make a lovely sympathy card.

What do you think?

I want to be a kept woman...

No, really. I must be in the 5th ring of hell right now... although, as my friend Cindy would say, it's more like I've actually dropped through the trap door. Evil boss is still, well, the evil boss. I'm sick of working on this retail shell & tenant build-out job... I really prefer the residential side of things. It's so much more personal, and people tend to not get their panties in a twist over little things. E.B.'s job has forced me to put several projects on the back burner, so I will probably never be able to catch up.

So, on to the fun stuff, and (hopefully) the reason you visit this blog! How about my 'Wanna Get Lucky' card?!

Easter Eggs?

Yep, once again, an 'old' card! I just haven't had time to stamp anything! I am so bummed! Work is totally sucking big time, and it doesn't look like it is going to improve at all before month's end. The evil boss is still being a poop, and it doesn't help the morale around the office, that's for sure!
So, here is the fun stuff for my Frutti-Egg card:

Supplies:
1. Tag Tidbits (T-2334) [‘think spring’ sentiment]
2. Frutti Fusion paper (V-929) [size: 5-1/2” x 4-1/4” and scrap pieces of a flower and a circle element]

First winner for the catalogue & an update about the Evil Boss...

Ok, now for my "winning" entries for the catalogue! First one on page 38:

Stamps: Flower Collage Trio, Tag Tidbits, Thank You (retired)
Paper: Juliette SWIC & cardstock
Ink: Burnt Umber Palette, VersaMark
Coloring/Technique: color pencils w/ mineral oil blending
Bling: Juliette Ribbon, Black Scrapper's Floss
Misc: pop dot, edge distresser, hydra sponge

  • Update about the Evil Boss: he is still not speaking to me! Yeay! When he's talking to Mikey, E.B. won't even say my name... he just says 'her' or 'she'... and I thought I was juvenile about holding a grudge! Heee heee... what a weenie.

The evil boss and some fun stuff...

Dude, I am sooooooooo excited... I can't wait to leave for Seminar on Thursday!!! I am going to be absolutely worthless at work this week, I'm sure. Not that it really matters since I am totally p.o.'d at the boss in Fort Worth. Thank goodness he doesn't work up in my office (Kansas)! He and I had a bit of a tiff the other day and I am still seething. I don't dislike many people (really!), but he is definitely ON THE LIST!!! I'm glad the boss here is awesome, otherwise I was about this close [you know how close!] to quitting. Yep. Bad tiff! Needless to say, 'the good boss' said not to worry about it and to just blow it off. He doesn't realize that I am one of the all time best grudge-holders ever.
Yes, I am a bitter woman.

On to fun stuff! The photos in this post are of an altered half-composition book. TAC sent attendees for Retreat (in January) & Seminar these blank books to alter. I didn't get around to doing it for Escape, but I managed to do it for Seminar!

[is it Thursday yet?]
