quickies....

Ok, just a real quick post...

These are two cards I created for another challenge from Paper Wings... from the scraps of all the sundress cards I have done! They are NOT the greatest by any stretch of the imagination, but at least I used the scraps!! The 'Princess' one is supposed to look like a dress... can you see?! Anyhoo, Frutti Fusion paper paired with DCWV cardstock; and Reflection Blue, French Lilac, Sunflower, & Belle Rose Palette inks... don't forget the pop dots! Trendy Greetings, Tag Tidbits, Fanciful Flowers, & a retired Limited Edition stamp set were used.

Summer sun-dresses... oh to be a little girl again!

Here is a bright & cheery summer card that I made for a Paper Wings Inspiration Challenge (actually, it a combination of two challenges):

Aren't they cute? No stamping at all, can you believe it?! I sketched the dress shape and cut out the card. It was too thick to punch the neck through, so I had to cut w/ scissors (I never realized how much I use my punches until I can't use 'em!). I used TAC's Frutti Fushion paper, Prima & MM paper flowers, Reflection Blue, Orangerie, & Chartreuse Palette inks (touches on the flowers), scalloped scissors (hem of dress), Stickles (flower centers), and the Mega circle scallop punch (for the collars). I probably should have added another band of color at the hem, but I left it simple.

AND THE WINNER IS...........

"Congrats on your hits. Count me in on this mystery celebration candy. I just know it will be FUN FUN FUN. Thanks for a chance."

Congratulations! Just email me your info so that I can mail this package out to you sometime this week!! (My email link is in the sidebar to the right).

Now, to see what stampinc won:

3 handmade cards (by me!), 2 new stamp sets, 2 new GWP stamps, mini file folder album & a mini Juliette album ready to embellish, a bunch of 8x8 paper (some TAC, some not), large red & gold sequins, bag of dew drops & buttons (from Michael's), bag of acrylic tiles (some self-adhesive, some not), bag of hardware embellies, vacation bookplate, MM ribbon, mini popscicle sticks, leather bookplate, bag-o-tags, and a bag-o-chipboard! Did I over-do it? ;)

AngelHood and other noteworthy stuff...

I wanted to give a little SHOUT OUT for my new peep's in the newly formed blogging sisters group: AngelHood! I am part of The AngelHood 1 group, so go and take a little time to visit them. [see over there, in the sidebar? no, down a little bit... yep! there they are!]

Only 22 takers for the BLOG CANDY, so far... hmmmmmmmm... Oh well! I'm still not going to reveal what it is until I draw the winner [insert evil laugh here]. Remember that you have to comment on the previous post, NOT this one for a chance to win!

On to the whole point of having a blog... showing off my schtuff! This little gem was for a Paper Wings challenge:

Isn't it cute?! The picture kinda sucks, but I was trying to show the dimension of the bow. I used TAC's Girlz&Boyz and TagTidbits stamp sets, TAC's White UltraSmooth cardstock & Frutti Fushion paper, DCWV purple cardstock, Noir Palette ink, and my TomBow markers. I punched out a circle for the balloon and used a Micron pen to draw the string that the little girl is holding. I had messed up when I had colored the girl's face, so I just colored another one & cut it out and glued it on top... fixed! It was fun (& super easy) to create the little paper bow in the corner [mini staplers are my friends]. Thankfully, the two sets that were used for this are NOT being discontinued (yep, the list is out... I'll hopefully post that tomorrow... oh, the anticipation!).

BLOG CANDY ALERT!

Since I am nearing 2000 hits, I've decided to give out some BLOG CANDY!!! I'll draw a winner from all that comment to THIS post! Saturday or Sunday I will be going through my stash of never-been-cut stamp sets, maybe some patterned paper, a grab bag-o-embellies, who knows? I'll draw a name next Saturday the 24th... that should give everyone plenty of time!

Is it really Monday tomorrow........ I think I'm sick.

Ok, just a real quick post... I'm pooped! Had a big Mom's Day out at my sister's house with darn near the whole crew! There were so many babies... they're soooooooooo cute! Really makes you want to have one, KWIM?

Anyway, first off, here is a card we did in one of my classes. Pretty simple, but a lot of fun to color! It uses the How Swell stamp set, Pop Rockz paper, Noir, Chartruese & Cote d'Azure Palette inks, and Lyra Aquacolor crayons (with the Niji waterbrush... awesome!). Oh! The flowers are from the Paisley Rockz stamp set!

A little more fun for you: how about a SNEAK PEEK at the upcoming July Catalogue?!! One of the great things about being an Angel with The Angel Company, I get to pre-purchase these babies ahead of time AND at an awesome price!! I can't wait! I love all four of these new sets! Check 'em out:

Completed scrapbook pages... finally.

Remember when I showed a scrapbook page from Seminar 2007 & the companion page I created to go with it? [click here] Well, I decided to actually put photos in them! Lookie:

Photos & journaling really DO make a difference in scrapbook pages (duh!).

I also put a photo in a page that Lori Betterley designed for this past Winter RoundUp. It is made with the Mimi SWIC & cardstock, punched holes with the Bind-It-All, stamped flowers from Spring Dream onto acetate with StazOn opaque white ink, and tied misc. ribbons.

Cute, huh?

Grab Toto, Dorothy...

Well, it was nice and stormy this evening... tornado sirens and all! Yep. I had to go down into the icky basement for a bit... I did get a load or two of laundry done, though! It was raining like crazy with just a teenie bit of hail, so I didn't figure we would get a twister... it's when there is no rain, right after buckets of hail, and no wind: that's when you worry! The sky WAS pretty green looking though [that's usually a sign, too].

I'm just glad it all happened tonight so it would not interfere with Laurie & I going to Topeka to visit Cindy. Slumber party! Then we'll go to a crop on Saturday that is being hosted by Cindy's CM lady. We'll get a bit of shopping in, have a nice dinner, and I'm sure there will be chocolate... why is that? What is the need to snack on unhealthy stuff while scrappin'?

[yes, I know that DARK chocolate is GOOD for you... why do you think it's my favorite ;) ]

Well, here is a quick & easy matchbook card I did for a recent FunShop. I used Forever and Curls & Swirls stamp sets, Mimi SWIC & cardstock, Chartruese & Burnt Umber Palette inks, VersaMagic Petunia Pink, VersaMark, Transendence Embossing Powder, Scor-Pal, scallop edge scissors, and misc. ribbon & staple. I really like how I did the sponging around the sentiment... it really looks 3-d & almost glows.

What do you think?
