This VERY plain & simple card was made by brayering Cosmic Copper Brilliance and Pearlescent Sky Blue Brilliance inks onto White UltraSmooth cardstock. I tried this on the Glossy cardstock, and I just couldn't get the brayer marks to blend like it does with dye inks. The White US worked perfectly! I did end up sponging just a little more copper on the bottom after I was done, but I don't think that is like, cheating or anything... is it, Melisa? :)
I stamped the dot border from Creative Inspiration inside and three small dots of it in the lower right corner of the front with Burnt Sienna. Also using Burnt Sienna, I stamped "missing you" from the Level A Hostess set Feel Better. I ran some misc. copper ribbon (from M's) through a slit made in the spine and used small Glue Dots to hold the ends down under the heart.
The heart was salvaged from my "I might use it someday" pile o' scraps! The little guy from the Level B Hostess set Criss Cross just so happened to be stamped in the same blue Brilliance ink (winner!!!!). I popped that baby up on a tiny piece of a Pop Dot. Finished the whole thing off with a few faux dew drops from M's.
I totally dig the color combo (hello... copper... need I say more?) and the sparkle to the ink... and the little lonely heart in the corner, but is it too simple? Too blah?
What do you think?

Nothing Blah about it! It's delightfully simple! I love the colors, and the clean and crisp look. The little 'bubbles' just top it off perfectly - great job!!!
I love this. I think I'm going to pull out my brayer and see what I can do.
This is so pretty! These colors are just wonderful together!
wow that is beautiful. so effective . hugs rachxx
Not to blah at all! Very pretty, Barb!
Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner! That is awesome. Sometimes less really is more! I love the color combo!
"Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner!"... I just love you, Cuddy!
The blue and copper are GORGEEUS! Love the design where the color is the showcase. Hey...have you tried making your own faux dew drops yet? Easy-peasy with a hot glue gun, clear glue sticks, and our non-stick craft sheet. Plus you can color them with alcohol ink (just place the cooled faux dew drops in a baggie with a couple of drops of alcohol ink, smoosh them around, dump them out onto scrap paper to dry for about 30 seconds).
Love it- truly smart, simple and sophisticated! YGG!
it is perfect! Love your style girl!
Wow, I haven't done a brayered background in years! Thanks for the reminder. It's always nice to go back and re-visit creative ideas. Love those two colors together too.
What a great color combination! Love the effect and this card is just plain gorgeous!!!
This is gorgeous!!
very pretty! I'm leaning towards the more simple.
OMG!!! I LOVE IT!!!! Love the shimmer - love the color combo - love the simple but powerful design. You amaze me!
Beautiful - love how you used the brilliance ink, smooth cardstock and a brayer. I own all of those and have never used them all together. I get a little intimidated by my brayer so thank you for another wonderful project that I can try!!
Love, love, love this card!! those colors are great!!
