A little balloon adventure...

It's another snowy, dreary day in Kansas, people!  So how's this for a little lift?  Isn't she cute?  She's from TAC's new Wonder and Joy stamp set, and let me just say that this is definitely one of my faves in the latest magalogue!

I've been needing a little sunshine in my life lately, so out came the yellow pencil!  Yellow is not one of my usual colors... like red, it is very difficult with which to work (for me, anyway).

I added some blond highlights to her hair and a little glitter pen action to her bow, string, & the snap on her pants.  And how do you like the fluffy clouds in the background?  Cute, right?  Simply cut a cloud shape from a piece of cardstock or paper... starting at the top of the image, work your way down by sponging around the cloud.  You can always go back and add more "sky" to areas that you missed.

This background is WAY better than simply leaving the panel white... she really looks like she floating away :)

Stamps:  Wonder and Joy, Bug of Fun

Paper:  Hip Hop dp, White premium & DCWV cardstocks

Ink:  Cote d'Azure & Noir Palettes

Colorant:  Prismacolors w/ mineral oil

Other:  Stardust glitter pens

What do you think?
