Another cutie from TAC's Wonder and Joy stamp set! This set is so much fun to color, and perfect to build little scenes around.
I LOVE how the pond edge came out... much better than the grass! You can barely see them, but I did the ol' cloud trick again, this time in a super light blue.
I'm not thrilled with the rest of the card other than the yummy twill w/ the tag hanging from it. The image is so large, there really isn't a ton of room left for any extra stuff!
I think I'm getting better and better with the skin tones... now to learn that ala Copic! I probably should have muddied him up a little, but let's pretend he JUST arrived and hasn't fished yet :) Look at those rosey cheeks :)
Stamps: Wonder and Joy, Tag Tidbits
Paper: Ivory UltraSmooth, kraft, Mono-chromatic greens, & misc. blue cardstocks
Ink: Ballet Blue, Burnt Umber & Noir Palettes, Jumbo Java VM
Colorant: Prismacolors w/ mineral oil
Other: Copper Hardware, Walnut Ink (for tag), silver glitter pen (reel & hook), misc. twill ribbon & tag
What do you think?

A typical boy, I am really wanting this set more and more.

This is a GREAT boy card!! I love the eyelets, coloring, twill, tag, and especially the pond/grass!
well I hope he just arrived as his buckets empty...he needs to catch some fish before leaving, right? LOL! ADORABLE freakin' card - your coloring is fantastic...LOVE the pond, edge and grass - FABULOUS card all around GF!
I just got this set in my hands yesterday! Yay!! I sure hope I can create something halfway as wonderful as this!
I never would've thought to add a pond!!
Fabulous job and I really like the soft clouds!!
Darn, just realized that I mailed off a card using this image today and didn't snap a pic first...darn! What a cutie patootie! Love your card, and girl you are acing the skin colors these days! Great job!
Wow Barb this is fantastic! I love how you always find a way to think outside of the box! I think your brain must be 4 dimensional! LOL Mine only has 1 :)
Barb! Love the scene you've created! Super cute!
Terrific scene! I love the ripped hole in the boys pants, it looks like you could feel it...and the pond is perfect!

This is just so awesome! You are definitely the Prismacolor Pencil Queen!
too, too, cute girly!! I love your cloud trick, awesome. I just have a hard time with scenes for some reason, but yours is awesome!! and the rest of the card is just perfect for the casual image, i love how you staggered the eyelets, little, big, little! Have a great day and don't let them work you to hard! Make sure they know you do have a life outside of the office and lots of papercrafters to inspire, teehee. You think they'll buy it? It doesn't usually work at my job.
OMG!! I can't wait to get this set. I love how the blue circle kind of looks like the pond. You SHOULD do another with him muddied-up...kind of like an "after" image.
Love, love, love it!
Super cute! He is so adorable, right there with you on loving this set!
Barb, this is a fabulous card! Love the cute image and great coloring! TFS!
I love how your card "tells a story". And yes, he just got there, or he would have a big fish on the hook. LOl
Dear Barb
