Quickie... from the heart ;)

{snickering}

Yep, I am feelin' a bit ornery today.  :)   I don't know if it is because the holiday rush is finally over, or that I haven't had to be in the office for a while, or what.  So, what do I have in store for you today?  I'm sooooo glad you asked :)

More peekies!  At least with this one, you can get one of the stamp sets THIS month :)  Leafy Trees is the January Stamp of the Month at TAC, and I reeeeeeeeeaaaaly like it.  I don't think you can view it online until Monday, so here is a pic of the set... only $9.75 with a $30 purchase:

Stamps:  Leafy Trees (Jan. SOTM), Savvy Sayings (coming in Feb.!)
Paper:  More Mimi SWIC, Mia's Cottage, Kraft, DCWV lime, & White UltraSmooth cardstocks
Ink:  Noir & Burnt Umber Palettes
Colorant:  Tombow Marker huffing ;)
Other:  Scor-Bug, Scallop Square Punch, sanding block, white ribbon, MM felt shapes, & foam tape

I really like the look of marker huffing... kinda distressed looking.  And you can get more than one color onto the stamp image... it really doesn't take that long.

I sponged the edges with the BU ink to create a little depth... looks waaaaaaaay better than if left plain.  I overlapped two scalloped squares to create the rectangle... works in a pinch ;)

What do you think?!

I absolutely LOVE it ... I never thought to make it come from the side like a branch ... genius! and coloring the hearts separately is brilliant as well!

Very pretty my friend! I haven't used that technique in forever. Funny how there are so many options, with stamping, you sometimes forget about certain techniques! I finally got a score-bug and still haven't used it. That's it ... this week I'm using the darn thing. Thanks for the inspiration and Happy New Year!
