Another flutter... and it's frugal!

I had a blast working on all of my Art Shares over the past couple of months! Since I don't have anything new for you, other than those, I'm going to share one with you tonight! I'm not sayin' who is getting this one since they all went postal today

{the PACKAGES went postal, not the LADIES :) }...

but I am sure that they will be sharing their packages when they receive them. I've received one from Nancy Grant (thanks, Nancy!!), but I thought I'd wait for some others to show up and do one big post :)

My last post was actually inspired by this project... after I had created this violet butterfly by embossing and inking, I HAD to make one for a card front.

Stamps: Butterfly Bits, Juliette Florals (retiring!), sentiments are from a retired Level A stamp set from a year or so ago & the rim sentiment is from another retired set

Paper: Juliette SWIC, Ivory UltraSmooth cardstock

Ink: Purple Hydrangea, Perfect Plumeria, & Eggplant VersaMagic pads, and Burnt Umber Palette

Other: Tan & Brown Scrapper's Floss, Juliette Hardware, misc. ribbons, foam tape, lavender mini-basket

The frugal find? Well, the basket was a clearance item from Joann's a year or two ago after Easter! It had little bunnies all around the rim, which I simply covered up with a strip of Juliette that I had stamped with the floral & "things I love" over and over.

You may be asking: what the heck am I supposed to put in that tiny basket? Well, my thought was to write on little slips of paper, the little minor things that happen everyday that make me smile... something cute my babies do, something sweet that was said to me that day, something I read, something beautiful I see... anything!

Then, when the basket is full, use those little slips of paper and create a scrapbook page. It would be like "a day in the life of" kind of thing. Photos would take a backseat to this scrap page... it would be all about the journaling!

It would truly be "the little things".

What do you think?

***Edited to add: bonus! Danni has a weekly Flutter By Wednesday challenge, for which this project just so happens to work! Check the details for Challenge #58 HERE!
