365 Challenge, Day #133

Another challenge from 365 Cards... Day #133: Imagine this: Bubbles! Today's challenge is to think of bubbles and how they might inspire your card.

And here's what I came up with... a little Sprite Bubble Boy.

Stamps: Spunky Sprite Boys, Bears & Bubbles, Friendship Strips

Paper: Kraft & White UltraSmooth cardstocks, DCWV blue (retired)

Ink: Burnt Umber Palette, Champagne Dazzle VersaMark

Other: misc. button & twine, Scor-Pal, foam tape, Stardust Gel Pen, Copics

I scored a few lines with the Scor-Pal and then swiped the ink pad over to just graze them & a bit at the edges. This really brings the embossed lines out, and adds a little 'dirt' look to the card.

The polka dots at the top of the card? I used an eraser-topped pencil... a little trick I learned at one of our Angel Gatherings outside Salina. And I am sad that you can't see the sparkle of the Dazzle VersaMark... it has such a nice subtle shimmer in real life.

What do you think?!

I think it's fabbie! I use that pencil trick with paint or white craft ink to make polka dots. If I can find a pencil that still has a perfect eraser in this house! We homeschool...you'd think I'd be drowning in pencils.... NOT!

Love how you "made" your papers! The eraser technique works for other things, too--my sister used it for "berries" on a stenciled border "vine" on a wall! Great card!
